We Are Driven By What We Lack

driven by needWe are driven by what we lack. A friends’ posts on social media are usually about how we should all love our mothers yet she has hardly spoken to her own mother in the last twenty years. When she does it usually ends in an argument.

Another friend, who ran a series of webinars entitled something like ‘How to get rich’ is always desperate for money.

We even study for and eventually work in careers that are based on our own needs. The expert in bullying who was bullied in school, the millionaire who came from a poor family.

What happens when we heal the issue? Will the ‘bullying’ expert, whose career is driven by helping others because he still remembers the pain of his own bullying experience, stay in the same profession if he heals his past?

Life is cyclical. Once we complete the issue and let it go we move on. If we don’t complete the the circle the issue will follow us around until we do and we’ll stay stuck. When lack is gone from our lives our heart will be free to choose based on what nurtures us without the lies in our heart.

I love this quote “I go to bakeries all day. There’s a lack of sweetness in my life.”
