As well as face to face sessions I offer EFT and Energy Therapy sessions via skype (or e-therapy). I have found that offering EFT sessions via skype can very effective, very little is ‘lost in translation’ and some of my clients prefer this form of communication.
I always make a point of sending clients the energy points that we will be using during the skype sessions. This gives them the option of learning the points before we meet. It also allows them the chance initially to look at the points or follow me as they ‘tap’ during the first session, until they have learned the tapping points.
Our EFT sessions are always client led. There is no reason for the client to believe that because I’m a therapist I have most of the answers. I offer feedback and work with the client, always allowing them to express how they feel and working with them to dissolve unwanted emotions. When the emotion has gone the issue ceases to be a problem.
There may be a number of reasons why you may prefer EFT skype sessions here are just a few:
You can receive the sessions from the comfort of your own home. You may feel more ‘open’ in your own space and thus get in touch with how you really feel.
Some clients have reported that they enjoy using skype because looking at the screen gives them a focal point in which to get in touch with their feelings
Unlike using a phone link skype allows you to see the person you are talking to so there is still the sense of client to therapist connection.
Probably the main reason for using skype for therapy sessions is that it’s great if you have a busy lifestyle. You won’t have to battle through the traffic or spend as long as the therapy session in travel time.
Once you’ve signed up Skype is free.All you need is a webcam and a perhaps a mic.
